Putting the blog to sleep for a while

May 16th, 2009

The focus has shifted entirely to the 5M Coffee business now so this blog will cease to be updated as of today.

We’re really excited by what is happening in the world of coffee at the moment so expect to see us popping up near you in the next 12 months.

Check out http://5mcoffee.com/coffeeblog or find us on Twitter @getnoticed or @5mcoffee

I’ll leave this blog online for the foreseeable future.

3 1/2 days until Mum arrives

April 4th, 2009

Mum arrives in the UK in 3 1/2 days time and we are really looking forward to her visit.

I have been in the UK for more than 7 years now and this is the first visit for her to the northern hemisphere so I hope she really enjoys it.

My wife and I have so much planned for her and every waking hour will be an adventure.

If I am unusually quiet on twitter @getnoticed or updating my blog you now know why…

Causing a racket (of the tennis variety)

January 25th, 2009

We bought ourselves new tennis rackets today as my wife has a desire to play tennis this summer.

There are a number of fairly reasonable clubs in the area (pricewise that is) and we will get ‘played in’ in the next few weeks time…

I am looking forward to getting back on grass as I have not played competitively for more than 10 years and I am sure it won’t take me long to get back into a reasonable form.

Don’t worry Andy (Murray) - I’m not out to compete in your league…

Back online…

June 22nd, 2008

After what seems like an eternity I have decided to give my blog a little attention and gear up for the start of a rather busy summer, kicking off with the Thirty Day Challenge

Much has changed in the technology used for blogging since I took my blog offline (more on that later) and I will be adopting the new Web2.0 tools, social bookmarking and enabling more interaction than you ever thought possible.

At one stage Facebook took over the headlines but now the tables are turning back to blogging, and an emerging tool known as Twitter, with tweets replacing blog entries and enabling pushes to mobile phones.

Using cool tools like summize.com you can keep track of any number of keywords on Twitter…
I’m not going to give too much away at this stage, but if you would like further information head over to Twitter.com and send me a message @getnoticed

The blog will be continually revamped and will link to a number of projects I am working on at present.

Keep in touch and bookmark me, or better still - grab my RSS feed !

Spring has Sprung

The Robin’s are nesting in the bird-boxes on the neighbours wall. Hopefully there will be bundles of little Robin’s in a few weeks time.

Rock-on Robin!

How time flies

March 12th, 2007

It’s been an age since I last blogged here. There has been so much going on over the past few weeks that I have struggled to keep up with it all.

Work has kept me up all hours of the day and night, but I’ve been learning a lot so it hasn’t been all bad.

We’ve been adding personalised touches to our house to make it feel a little more homely. I still can’t believe it’s ‘ours’ sometimes, but the bills and mortgage payments remind me that it is.

Roll on Friday night - I’ve more DIY to do!

Mastermind group

February 24th, 2007

Thanks to those of you who turned out today for the OMMG meetup. It was a pleasure to meet with you and learn more about your businesses and to discuss ways that blogs can benefit your sites.

I hope to hear from several of you over the coming weeks.

A day near the seaside

February 23rd, 2007

The weather was pants today, blustery and cold, and I was in the ideal spot to enjoy a stroll had the weather been a little more spring-like.
I spent the day in Lewes (near Brighton) and caught glimpses of the sea and the rugged coastline, however, sadly I was in a room training people for the best part of the day.

The drive back was a nightmare, stuck on the M25 carpark from the time I joined at Redhill (clockwise) until after the M40 turnoff - well over 2 hours later.

Kung Hei Fat Choi (2007)

February 17th, 2007

The Year of the Pig starts tomorrow and we have just returned from a trip to Oriental City for a spot of new years eve celebrations, a nice meal and a spot of shopping too.

We’re celebrating in our own little way tomorrow and will be having a chinese dinner, complete with fortune cookies and chinese beer.
